Sangheili units employ polyhedral huts as living quarters when deployed on the battlefield. They are used in much the same way as the temporary military tents used during various campaigns of the early twenty-first century. They appear to be more lavish than the atmosphere pits that Unggoy reside in during their times of rest on the battlefield. They are typically ruby and/or silver in color, and are often heavily guarded. The huts are shielded while the outer perimeter is defended by at least six Shade turrets.[1][2]

A Covenant base set up in the Longhorn Valley had several Sangheili tents guarded by Shades and a line of dozens of Wraiths.[1]
