SPARTAN-III Beta Company

Template:Category Beta Company was the second group of SPARTAN-IIIs trained by Kurt-051 on the hidden world of Onyx. Originally three-hundred strong, Beta Company was assigned to Operation TORPEDO to destroy a Covenant factory. They had been launced through slipspace from the UNSC Carrier All Under Heaven in stealth orbital drop pods. Nine died either on reentry, from the impact, or from Covenant forces. Team Foxtrot consisted of Tom, Lucy, Min, and Adam. When it was discovered that the STARS systems had missed the seven Covenent cruisers over the factory, mistaking them for a part of the factory, the panic code (Omega three) was given. Team Foxtrot ran into the factory anyway and attempted to disable the factory using thermite-carbon cord explosives. Before the could get inside to disable it, Adam was shot by an elite with a needler. The shot punctured his lower spine, leaving him paralyzed. He told the others to go on without him. While they were setting the timers for the explosives, an EM feild set off Min's explosives, engulfing him in a flash of smoke and thunder. After Tom convinced Lucy, that there was nothing they could do for him, the ran deeper into the factory complex until they jumped out the back of the factory into the ocean. Their water-logged Mark I Semi-Powered Infiltration Armor pulled them down deeper into the water as the factory exploded, killing off all seven cruisers and any other surviving members of Beta company, leaving Lucy-B091 and Tom-B292 the only known survivors of Operation TORPEDO.
