Lieutenant Ruta was a commissioned officer and the "Hangar Boss" on the UNSC Everest. On March 7, 2526, she welcomed Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson aboard the Everest and pointed him to an elevator that would take him to the ship's secure conference suite to be briefed on Operation: SILENT STORM.[1]
