Operation: TREBUCHET was a large battle between the UNSC and the Eridanus Rebels, one of the major rebellions in the history of the UNSC. The battle dealt a crippling blow to the Rebels from which they would never, successfully, recover.
Synopsis
Little is known about Operation: TREBUCHET. It was a large operation between the UNSC and the various human rebel factions. The forces involved consisted of several UNSC destroyers and carriers, deployed against at least one hundred smaller rebel vessels.[1] The UNSC forces defeated their rebel counterparts with little difficulty.
The disorganized Eridanus Rebels were eventually brought together by Colonel Robert Watts and raised a small navy in an attempt to breakaway from the UNSC. The Eridanus system was a battleground for a short while, ending in this operation. During the battle, the rebels were routed and the remnants of their fleet fled into an asteroid belt in Eridanus Secundus. They would eventually establish a fully functional asteroid base and began conducting raids again by 2525.[2]
Ground Operations
Only one known Ground Operation took place during OPERATION: TREBUCHET. An UNSC NAVSPECWAR Unit was sent in to shut-down rebel bomb making factories. That Operation ended when a Female Rebel detonated a Jim Dandy.
