This article is about the human colony. For the UNSC starship, see UNSC Constantinople.

New Constantinople was a human colony world.

Between 2536 and 2537 a major battle between UNSC and Covenant forces occurred in the planet's system. Vice Admiral Danforth Whitcomb distinguished himself in this engagement, as did the Spartan-IIIs from Alpha Company. However, the battle was lost and the Covenant glassed the planet.[1]

Trivia

The planet is most likely named after the capital city of the former Byzantine Empire, Constantinople.
