One of the [[UNSC Marine Corps|Marines]] stationed at [[Diego Garcia]], '''McKenzie''' was from the [[405th Marine Infantry Division]]. He, along with [[Staff Sergeant]] [[Marcus Banks]], Corporal [[Perez (Marine)|Perez]], and the rest of ''A Company'' were sent to [[New Mombasa]] during the [[Battle of Earth]]. While there, they met up with the [[Master Chief]], and with his help, the Marines trapped and destroyed a [[Scarab]] walker.

They accompanied with Corporal Perez, [[Avery Junior Johnson|Sergeant Major Johnson]], and [[Commander (UNSC)|Commander]] [[Miranda Keyes]] to the [[Library]] to retrieve the [[Activation Index]]. After securing the Library facility, Johnson left [[Perez]] and McKenzie to guard the exit while he escorted Keyes to retrieve the Index. It is unknown what exactly happened to Perez and McKenzie during this endeavor. They may have been killed by the Flood, killed by the Arbiter, or captured/killed by the [[Brutes]], as when Johnson calls them for their status, they do not respond. McKenzie was then evacuated with the Chief and they traveled to [[Installation 05|Delta Halo]] aboard the {{UNSCShip|In Amber Clad}}. He traveled with Corporal Perez, Sergeant Major Johnson, and Commander Miranda Keyes to the [[Library]] to retrieve the Index. When Johnson and Keyes made it to the Index, Johnson called to him and Perez, to which there was no response, so many believe he is dead, infected by the Flood, or was captured by the Brutes, possibly making him one of the Marines the Master Chief rescues from ''[[High Charity]]''. He and Perez may have been killed as there are two bodies on the floor before the [[Thel 'Vadam|Arbiter]] enters.

McKenzie was a UNSC Marine. They served aboard the UNSC In Amber Clad during the Battle of Earth and the Battle of Installation 05 in 2552.[1]

McKenzie was present when the UNSC In Amber Clad took part in the Battle of the Quarantine Zone. They accompanied with Corporal Perez, Sergeant Major Johnson, and Commander Miranda Keyes to the Library to retrieve the Activation Index. After securing the Library facility, Johnson left Perez and McKenzie to guard the exit while he escorted Keyes to retrieve the Index.
