Major is a common rank both in the Covenant and the UNSC. It may refer to any of the following:
Covenant
- Jiralhanae Major - Jiralhanae Infantryman with blue armor.
- Jiralhanae Captain Major - Jiralhanae Captains in golden armor.
- Kig-yar Major - Kig-yar Infantryman with an orange shield.
- Sangheili Major - Sangheili veteran infantryman with red armor.
- Unggoy Major - Unggoy Infantryman with red armor.
- Yanme'e Major - Yanme'e Airborne Infantryman with red armor.
UNSC
- Major - Field Grade officer rank of the UNSC Air Force, UNSC Army and UNSC Marine Corps.
- Major General - General officer rank in the Air Force, Army and Marine Corps.
- Sergeant Major - The highest Enlisted rank in the Army and Marine Corps.
In-game
- Major may also to refer to a rank in Halo 3 multiplayer or Halo: Reach.
