During the initial battle above Sigma Octanus IV, Jaggers demonstrated gross incompetence while at his post during the battle.[2] This almost bordered on mutiny, so Commander Keyes had Admiral Micheal Stanforth reassign Jaggers.[3] He was then replaced by Ensign William Lovell.[4]
