Inner Colonies

The Inner Colonies are certain specific human controlled planets that were terraformed to support life. These planets were colonized because of how relatively close they are to Earth, and it is from their location and the time of their colonization that they get their name. It was possible to get to these systems by using the Shaw-Fujikawa Slipspace Drive engine.

Near the end of the battle of the Outer Colonies, numerous ships were pulled from their positions in the Outer Colonies to defend the Inner Colonies. Old ships, such as the Halcyon-class Cruiser, Pillar of Autumn, were refitted and brought back into service to supplement the remaining forces.
