The Historic Battle DLC is a map pack for Halo Wars, that was released on July 21st, 2009, for 800 Microsoft Points.[1] It was later made free alongside all other Xbox 360 Halo DLC, and was included in the 2017 release of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
Description
Expand your Halo Wars experience with the Historical Battle Map Pack Add-on. These new maps highlight key turning points in the epic war between the UNSC and Covenant forces. The maps include: Blood River – battle a single opponent over a treacherous natural chokepoint; Barrens – engage your enemy in the midst of the Flood; and Memorial Basin – two vs. two team play in one of the bloodiest battles in Halo history.[2]
Content
The DLC consists of four maps:
- Barrens (1v1 map)
- Blood River (1v1 map)
- Glacial Ravine (3v3 map)
- Memorial Basin (2v2 map)
The DLC also includes four new achievements:
- Tour Coming Through: Hot drop 50 squads to your Covenant Leader in a single game on Barrens (30 points).
- Never Leave a Man Behind: Finish a game with 5000 net resources contributed to your teammates on Memorial Basin (15 points).
- Drain Cleaner: Kill 20 enemy squads with a continuous Covenant Leader Power on Memorial Basin (30 points).
- Killjoy: Disrupt 5 active Leader Powers in a single game on Blood River (25 points).
