The Gorgon was intended to be a Covenant anti-air oriented ground vehicle to appear in Halo Wars, likely filling a similar niche to the UNSC MAAT-9 Wolverine. It used two sturdy legs to carry a bulky chassis, which was equipped with several Heavy Needlers capable of shooting down enemy aircraft. It was eventually deleted in favor of the Vampire unit for two reasons: it created a recognition problem, confusing players as to whether it was infantry or a vehicle; and the Covenant had too many ground units already, and needed more air units. Its successor would retain the Heavy Needlers, but would receive several stasis-related abilities as well.
Like the Air Artillery, this is another cut Covenant vehicle.
