It fires a lance-thin, fluctuating beam of superluminal energy that spears through enemy warships at long range.
It can take down the shields of a Covenant frigate or a Covenant destroyer with a single hit. However, it can effectively neutralize a UNSC frigate or UNSC destroyer's threat to friendly forces by surgically impacting critical systems like their MAC system, destroying them and making them effectively useless in combat.
