[[Maria-062|Spartan-062]], the first Spartan to test the armor, was sent in training with several ODSTs. During the armor testing, Spartan-062 hurls a paintball grenade onto the middle of the unsuspecting ODSTs, neutralizing Echo 1 through 5. The sole survivor of the blast, [[Echo Six|Echo 6]], makes a run for it and was quickly gunned down by 062, but not before initiating the "Bulgoki Gambit". After Spartan-062 was subdued, she was brought back to the Special Ops Center, accompanied by Echo Two and his ODST companions (whom all have paintball marks on them).

Echo Two was a codename for an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in Echo Team of the 340th ODST Combat Training Unit[1] stationed in Special Warfare Center in Seongnam on Earth to help test the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor[2].

In October 2552, Spartan-II Maria-062 was sent in training with Echo Team. During the armor test, SPARTAN-062 hurled a paintball grenade onto the middle of the unsuspecting ODSTs, neutralizing Echo 1 through 5. Echo Two and Five required medical attention and a medevac team was dispatched for them.[3] While the entirety of Echo Team was ultimately bested by Maria-062, the ODSTs of Kilo Team managed to subdue the Spartan.
