Template:Weapon The Covenant charge is a portable explosive used by the Covenant on reconnaissance missions.

Background

Similar in purpose and function to explosive charges used by human militaries, this charge is a small explosive device able to adhere to a number of surfaces for an indefinite period of time until activated. A remote trigger is used to detonate the charge.

Operational use

Zuka 'Zamamee used such a weapon when he found Yayap and several other imprisoned Unggoy soldiers during the Battle of Installation 04. Once the Unggoy were safely far away from the cage door, the Sangheili attached the charge to the door. After 'Zamamee backed away he activated the remote, setting off the explosion. This broke the door lock which let all of the Unggoy out of the cage.[1]
