Council security was a Forerunner organization designated to protect the Ecumene Council.[1] They wore black and red combat skins and were assisted by black-armored Sentinels and various military-grade ancillas linked to the Council's dedicated metarchy and capable of supplanting biological Forerunner commanders in an emergency.[2]

The myrmidons, tasked with protecting high-ranked councilors, were likely part of Council security.[3]
