The Ascetics are a group present within the Elite culture[1]
The Ascetics were a pre Covenant Sangheili group, . With the new soveriegnty comes the revival of the Ascetics, because now, more than ever the Sangheili culture depends upon their resolve and their decisive and swift actions for stability. As the physilogical embodyment of purity, their presence promotes feelings of stability, confidence and order and lead the Sangheili by example. They promote confidence in those loyal to the state and fear in those who would undermine it.
Background
They wanted Usze ‘Taham to be their emissary to the Covenant Navy by the time of the Great Schism.
Beyond this, nothing else is known about the group.
