Summary

A Remote Scanning Outpost located on the edge of the Sigma Octanus system, the Archimedes was designed to detect incoming threats to the Sigma Octanus System. It was crewed by three individuals. On July 17, 2552, the Archimedes detected a large mass in Slipspace. Lovell believed that it was simply a large asteroid and did not investigate further. However, it turned out to be a hostile Covenant force inbound for Commander Keyes' battle group. Ensign William Lovell worked aboard this station and, because of this incident, he was transferred to the Iroquois by Captain Keyes.
