The Arc star cluster is a cluster of stars in the Milky Way galaxy and likely within the Orion Arm, situated near to or within human space. The cluster contains the planet of Heian. At some time between 2540 and 2551[Note 1], UNSC satellite reconnaissance showed high-end magnetic and radar signatures in the cluster, leading to the commencement of Operation: GREY VEIL.[1]

  1. ^ Taylor H. Miles, who participated in the mission on Heian, enlisted in 2540, meaning the mission occurred during or after 2540. During the mission, Cal wore the Mark IV MJOLNIR armor, which was replaced by the Mark V in November 2551.
