Chalybs Defense Solutions

Chalybs Defense Solutions is a human manufacturing company. The company developed and manufactured the M808 "Scorpion"[1] and the M850 "Grizzly" main battle tanks.[2] They were contracted by the Office of Naval Intelligence to manufacture the M145D "Rhino" artillery vehicle, which was based on the ONI-developed Zeus 320mm plasma cannon,[3] and to manufacture the Operator armor for the Beta-5 Division's Asymmetrical Action Group.[4] Chalybs also developed the standard-issue pilot helmet for the UNSC Air Force.[5] Both armor systems were tested at the Chalybs Testing Preserve.[4][5]

Trivia

Chalybs is a genus of gossamer-winged butterflies.
