Kusunagi was a 2nd Generation smart UNSC Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) used during the Battle of Jericho VII.[1]
Name
Kusunagi could possibly be a play on words of the name Kusanagi, being a Kusanagi legendary sword in Japan, or alternately, a play on words of the fictional character, Motoko Kusanagi.
