Support weapon

Halo 3 introduces a new class of weapons called support weapons. While carrying there, your view switches to third person and you walk slower. You are generally more powerful, but also more vulnerable and much less versatile.

- AIE-486H Heavy Machine Gun
- Plasma Cannon - As seen in leaked EGM scans
Speculated Weapons
- Gravity Hammer Seen in Et Tu Brute? ViDoc (most likely disproved as seen in leaked shots)
- Flamethrower Seen in Halo 3 Beta code (though it may just be an ordinary weapon)
- Hunters' Fuel Rod Cannon
