UNSC Weather Station z/41

UNSC Weather Station z/41 is a United Nations Space Command weather research facility based in the Antarctic region[1]. It is involved in taking glacier core samples and has a doppler radar facility for taking windspeed measurements, and includes a helipad for aerial transport.[2] Overhead, the Aurora Australis can be seen flickering through the sky. This could be thought of in the same way as Avalanche (power facility), and Narrows (cooling plant). Other maps are like this too, such as Ghost Town and [Foundry]].

The facility is the setting for the Halo 3: Legendary Map Pack map, Blackout, although in Halo 2, it was a place to study the flood.
