The Pious Inquisitor was a Covenant cruiser reputed to be "one of the fastest ships" in the Covenant fleet. The Pious Inquisitor saw action at the First Battle of Earth.

Behind the Scenes

The Halo 2 Multiplayer level Midship takes place on the Bridge of the Pious Inquisitor. The map has three levels and a floating platform at the top. It has been given the following recommendations by Bungie:

•The recommended number of players is 4-6.

•The recommended game variants are Slayer, Capture The Flag, Territories and Juggernaut.

•The most valuable weapon on the map is the Energy Sword, which is at the top of the map. It is the most valuable because due to the size of the map, there is a lot of opportunity for close-range combat.
