The ranking system in Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a numeric representation from one to fifty based on wins and losses.[1] Like Halo 4's competitive skill rank most playlists have their own rank, while others, like Big Team Battle, do not.

Skill-based ranks

The skill-based rank structure was employed by the Master Chief Collection at launch, and is identical in every way to the rank structure employed in the original release of Halo 2, including XP requirements, gains and losses.[2] The system is represented as a numeric value of 1-50, with the maximum seven ranks given special icons to denote their status.
