The human fleet burns in orbit over Charum Hakkor after the final battle.

Charum Hakkor is a planet in an unidentified system that once served as the capital of the prehistoric human civilization and, by extension, the Human-San 'Shyuum alliance.[1] It shares its system with Faun Hakkor, Ben Nauk, and twelve other planets.[2]

History

Charum Hakkor once featured a wealth of Precursor architecture and structures, which inspired ancient humanity to make the planet the capital of their interstellar civilization.[3]

At some point, Yprin Yprikushma discovered the Primordial on a small planetoid near the edge of the galaxy, and decided to transport the creature to Charum Hakkor. Unbeknownst to her and most in the galaxy, the creature was, (or claimed to be), the last surviving Precursor,[4] as well as a Flood Gravemind.[5]

Prior to the Human-Forerunner War, the Didact and the Librarian first met at Charum Hakkor.[1]

Human-Forerunner War

Charum Hakkor was the site of the concluding battle of the Human-Forerunner War, the siege of the planet lasting for a total of fifty years and humanity fighting off continuous attacks by the Didact's fleets for the last three years of this period.

Forerunner-Flood War

Circa 100,000 BCE, Charum Hakkor's biosphere was devastated, and its Precursor structures were annihilated, by the test-firing of Halo Installation 07;[6] this firing, ordered by Master Builder Faber, was the first time any of the Halos had been fired.
