As a means to repair the Ark and to get revenge on humans for damaging it, the monitor tricked the UNSC into opening the [[portal at Voi|portal]] which allowed him to send thousands of [[Retriever Sentinel]]s to mine Earth for raw resources. The sentinels were engaged by the [[Home Fleet]], which lost at least ten ships in the ensuing battle. Tragic Solitude's plans were thwarted by a joint UNSC and Swords of Sanghelios team on the Ark itself.
