Rebels are any group that wants to break away from a primary government. "Rebel" may refer to the following:
In the UNSC
- Frieden Rebels- A secessionist faction that fought against the UN in the Interplanetary War.
- Koslovic Rebels- The neo-Communist faction that fought against the UN in the Interplanetary War.
- United Rebel Front- The larger faction of human rebels united against the UNSC government.
- Eridanus Rebels- The faction of human rebels in the Eridanus System.
- Secessionist Union- A rebel union on Harvest led by Jerald Mulkey Ander.
- Insurrectionists- A rebel group on Tribute, possibly connected to the Secessionist Union.
In the Covenant
- The Heretics- The breakaway faction that follows Sesa 'Refumee and is against the Great Journey.
- Covenant Separatists- The Elite led faction after they learned the truth about halo.
- The Grunt Rebellion- A Grunt uprising against the rest of the Covenant which led to the creation of an Arbiter.
