The UNSC Colonial Cross is the highest ranking military decoration awarded to Soldiers, Marines and Sailors in the UNSCDF next to the decorated Medal of Honor.Template:Fact The Colonial Cross is awarded for acts of singular daring and devotion[1] and is the highest wartime decoration a UNSC serviceman or woman can earn.Template:Fact It is usually given out in a ceremony recognizing the person who has won the award.Template:Fact
In 2552, Fleet Admiral Sir Terrence Hood held a highly publicized ceremony to award several colonial crosses aboard Cairo Station.[2]
