Generation Notion

Just a bit of speculation, but perhaps Roland is based on the third-gen smart AI template. Halsey was partly responsible for the third-gen's creation, and could have implanted the "undid-iridium" failsafe in the core programming of a great many AIs in this way. Even if he's not a third-gen, it's possible that the subsequent generations have large swaths of code copied directly from gen-3; I doubt they'd start from the ground up when programming them, and Halsey could've hidden the failsafe somewhere in the C-PIE coding in a way that no one else would even notice. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 23:49, 14 October 2013 (EDT)
