An audio log is a collectible recording that sheds light on lore, the plot, or individual characters. Audio logs have been featured in several titles, starting with Halo 3: ODST.
Audio logs can be found in several forms within the games, most notably:
- Audio log (Halo 3: ODST) - Audio logs in Halo 3: ODST tell the story of Sadie Endesha, a Kenyan civilian during Earth's invasion.
- Audio log (Halo 4) - Audio logs in Halo 4 appear in the form of interactive terminals or data pads that share in-universe information.
- Mission Intel - Audio logs in Halo 5: Guardians detail the backstories of characters and events within the game.
- Audio log (Halo Infinite) - Audio logs in Halo Infinite provide the player with context on the game's background through recordings of UNSC, Banished, and Forerunner members.
