Usze ‘Taham is a Elite (Sangheili) assigned to the Fleet Security of the Fleet of Retribution's Special Warfare Group. [1]

Background

Although Usze ‘Taham was born into a respected merchant family he was fathered by Toha ‘Sumai—one of the preeminent swordfighters of this age. Usze graduated with honors from the top War College in the Iruiru region of Yermo, Sanghelios (a distinction he shares with Rtas 'Vadum). Shortly after receiving his first post within the Covenant Navy he was offered a place on the ProphetsHonor Guard but he declined citing “lack of practical experience”. In truth, he had no desire to be part of a largely ceremonial unit, and at the end of his third combat tour, Usze ‘Taham again refused the post—even though his superiors warned him such behavior could be misinterpreted as apostasy.

Since that time Usze has evaded countless punitive actions, at least two assassination attempts, and served with distinction for two additional tours before the Schism. Following the dissolution of the Covenant, he was approached by the Ascetics to become one of their liaisons within the Navy.

Speculation

Some speculate him to be the blue one because they think the darker one is more likely to be special operations, while some figure him to be the purple one because he is older, and they think the younger one is more likely to wear an armour of close color to Minor Elites.

Trivia

  • It should be noted that his name lacks the ee suffix associated with Elites in armed service. However when Rtas 'Vadumee was mentioned on this page the ee suffix was also missing. This may be because the Elites are no longer listed in the Coveant Loyalist Army, and no longer use the ee suffix.
  • Usze 'Taham will be a playable characer in Halo 3 as the fourth player character over either X-Box Live or System Link.
