==Overview==
Weapon customizations in ''Halo Infinite'' allows the player to apply their choice [[Weapon coatings (Halo Infinite)|weapon coatings]], charms, emblems, or kill effects. An entirely new feature was also made available through the game's myriad of weapon models. Unlocking any of the above can be done through [[season]]al [[Battle Pass]]es, [[Challenges/Halo Infinite|challenges]], in-game [[Event|events]] for both canon and [[Fractures]], and by purchasing items through the [[Shop]].

Somewhat akin to [[Armor customization (Halo Infinite)|armor cores]], weapon cores act as a uniform base aesthetic for the player's loadout in matchmaking. [[Season 01: Heroes of Reach]] introduced '''weapon models''' that would change or add geometry to the [[MA40 assault rifle]], [[BR75 battle rifle]], and the [[Mk50 Sidekick]]. This system would be overhauled in [[Season 04: Infection]], allowing for deeper, unique visual changes that can entirely change the aesthetic of its respective weapon, with weapons models becoming a mainstay in weapon customization from Season 04 onwards.

Originally, ''Halo Infinite'' only supported [[United Nations Space Command|UNSC]] weapons on the Weapons Bench, with the [[M392 DMR|M392 Bandit]] being added during the launch of [[Season 03: Echoes Within]] in [[2023]]. This roster would be expanded and filled out in [[2025]] with the launch of [[Last Stand (Operation)|Last Stand]] and [[Shadows (Operation)|Shadows]], which added all remaining weapons sans the [[Flaktura Workshop Skewer]] and the [[Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword]] to the Weapons Bench.

Charms, emblems, and kill effects work on all weapon cores, while weapon models are distinctly exclusive to the weapon they're available for.
