Relation with Navy

Isn't NavCom the same as the UNSC Navy ? This page said that NavCom heads the Navy, but Navy's page said that it's leads directly by UNSCDF. Also, the Encyclopedia point that the ONI is leads by NavCom (old edition, page 65), and some others sources indicates the Navy for heading ONI. Plus the same page of the encyclopedia said "ONI is the home of the Navy's most labyrinthine...". What's the deal, with this ?

No. NAVCOM is the Navy's controlling and organizational body, not the Navy itself. NAVCOM is more or less analogous to the Department of the Navy in the US Armed Forces, which oversees both the fleet proper and the Marine Corps. --Courage never dies. 14:36, 18 May 2012 (EDT)
