Not an Easter Egg[edit]

This oddity, like so many other misclassified articles here, is not an Easter Egg. Here's my theory, which I just added to the article (in addition to reformatting the whole thing).

It's possible that this room was added just in case one player went to Tower 3's control room, at the top, while other players stayed behind. Since the elevator would be at the top, the players that stayed behind would be able to see into the elevator shaft; because of this, Bungie would have had to model the shaft instead of just leaving the area "blank". If this is true, then two similar rooms should be present in Towers 1 and 2.

Most likely explanation, and not Eggy. File:DavidJCobb_Emblem.png|16px]] DavidJCobb  21:56, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually, if one player stays behind, they would just spawn up on the elevator with the other person. Also, there is no other way to see the secret room without the time travel glitch. So even if a player managed to stay behind without being teleported to the top, they wouldn't see anything. You can also try this yourself. Just activate the elevator and quickly jump off so it goes up with no one on it. You will then get to see what happens when it goes up. Nothing happens. Also, there is nothing in Tower 2. If you use the Time travel glitch to get into the 2nd tower, it's just a big empty space inside. General Heed 23:00, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
  1. Well, it's not like I've done this, I can only theorize. In any case, it's a better theory than the "It's a power room that Bungie decided to waste game resources and disc space on even though they didn't have to" theory.
  2. I'm a little fuzzy on the Time travel glitch, if you could help edit that too, that'd be great (since you seem to be the guy who discovered it).

Pached[edit]

The time traveling glitch has been patched. When you try to either walk up to the hornets, or manage to get to the hornet and try to back up, you run into invisible walls.Chasenuva1 00:33, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
First of all, you spelled "pached" wrong. It's actually spelled "patched". Anyways, it hasn't been patched. You're just flying in the wrong direction. If you go to far to the right or left, you will hit an invisible wall. Look more closely at the video to see exactly where to go. I suggest watching the video in full screen.

Another way in.[edit]

I have entered the lift shaft (the bottom of it) from the lift it self, not using the time travel glitch. I can't remember how I done it so do you think its worth a mention? --Reddy645 19:07, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

If you don't have any video to prove it, then no.- 5əb'7aŋk(7alk) 19:48, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
