Talk:Medals

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Does this page need to be here when there is already a Template for this? Delete? Parp555-My Head Asploded! What have I done to deserve this?!? 16:06, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

I'll fix it up. --ED(talk)(gaming) 14:34, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Sword Spree medals[edit]

I have noticed that the 'Sword Spree' and the 'Slice 'n Dice' medal isn't listed on this page under Halo 3. I'm not all that brilliant at editing pages, so i'm requesting that someone else add them. If you need the images for them, they can be found on these postgame stats: here

in halo 3 killtacular (4 kills in quick succession) is called overkill, can someone correct this please, or correct me if i'm wrong

Sound CLips[edit]

Anyone know I can get the sound clips for these?--User:JohnSpartan117 06:18, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Secret Medal??[edit]

There is a medal on Halo 3 that is to the left of the Killjoy medal, but isn't listed in Halopedia. Does anyone have any information as to what it is? I can't find anyone that has achieved it.

Shouldn't there be a medal to the right of Skyjacker? I'm working on a medal chart myself.

Question[edit]

I can't remember what game this is in, but does anyone remember what the name is of the medal that makes the announcer yell "Un-Freakin' Believable!" PWN3R uv N00Bz11 20:26, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

It was for getting a high killing spree in Halo 2, perhaps Rampage or Untouchable. -TheLostJedi 00:48, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

NEW Reach Medals (where to find them)!![edit]

Bungie.net now has a Reach Gamertag search option... from this you can try and find a few random Gamertags of those lucky to have played on the Beta early... http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/CareerStats.aspx?player=nNine%20iz%20Rippin&vc=standard

That link is just one of many examples but from these pages you can view lots of statistical information being offered on Reach, including medals! -TheLostJedi 00:48, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Already spotted a new one: Headcase! http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/CareerStats.aspx?player=tansuperman007&vc=standard -TheLostJedi 00:52, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Permission?[edit]

To extensively update nearly all medal images and articles for the series. I have fine versions of the medals from Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and am currently editing images of the medals from Halo: Reach. And all images were sourced from Bungie.net. This monster image updating process can begin as soon as I finish these Reach medals I'm working on. -TheLostJedi 22:39, 2 November 2010 (EDT)

Work on the Reach medals is nearing completion, all that's left to do is to make individual saved files of each image from the main collection image of them that I've been working on. I'm going to start uploading them soon. LostJedi out. -TheLostJedi 19:43, 3 November 2010 (EDT)

Naming of medal pages[edit]

Having recently noticed "Medal" being added to a bunch of medal pages' titles, I have to question our policy on medal article naming. Having "Medal" after the title is unnecessary; it's a lot like we used to have (level) in every level article's title, even if that article was the only one with the name. For the same reason that was changed, I think we should change the guidelines on medal pages: The subtitle (medal) should only be added to the title when that medal shares its name with another page. Otherwise, it's just pointless. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 06:26, 19 November 2010 (EST)

Thing was, i was checking through the medal pages for Reach, and i discovered that around 70% or so used the "Name Medal" format, while older pages used "Name (medal)" and much newer pages used "Name". I standardized as many as i could find to use the format of "Name Medal"(e.g.Double kill Medal). If you would like to change all of them to just "Name", i have no objections, but that's over 50 pages to edit. DatrDeletr 06:38, 19 November 2010 (EST)
