Talk:Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn trailer

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Why do the writers of the Halo universe REPEATEDLY have characters address female superiors as "Sir"? (It occurred multiple times in the Mona Lisa short story, not to mention that the "sir" was also a Sergeant, who shouldn't be called "sir", either.) This NEVER happens in the actual military. It's actually quite disrespectful to use the wrong honorific, even accidentally. I know it's just a game and doesn't really matter, but still, this mistake undermines the writers' credibility. Because they usually don't know anything about military customs and courtesies. Hell, they had a Major serving as an XO to a First Lieutenant. SmokeSound off! 22:24, 2 September 2012 (EDT)
