Talk:Halo 3 Engine

From Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Research?[edit]

Does anyone know any good sources for information on the engine's specs? I mean, I'm good with game concepts and can figure out a lot of things through testsing, but actual concrete specs on what their engine can do would be very wonderful.

Oh, someone please remind me to add info on how the cutscenes are rendered in real time, using in-game, in-level assets -- or add it yourself, if you so please.

Merger[edit]

It is correctly called the HAVOK Physics Engine. We already have a page for it and it is the correct name. - S.B.44 [Talk] 01:12, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

HAVOK supplies the physics properties to the game (solely physics), whereas the Halo 3 Engine is something else (The engine covers polygon compression, artificial intelligence, etc). You got them both confused. lulz {insert name here} 01:16, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
Fail merge is fail. I feel pwned. - S.B.44 [Talk] 02:17, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. The fact that the title of the engine is really straightforward makes it an epic fail.Sketchist 02:19, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
