The data pad in the picture here from Reach is in the game files as a civilian device. In the Reach files, this item is in the directory human/pioneer/housewares/ebook_reader. perhaps this item's name should be changed to e-book reader? Calling it a data pad sounds like it's military somehow. Just my 2 cents. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 21:53, 29 July 2014 (EDT)
- Well, game files are not a definite source of canon. For what its worth, it may be called an "ebook_reader" by the designers for ease of reference during development (and post-development for patching/updates purposes), and a game_file is unlikely to have its title changed in the released product. Also, I don't think it sounds military at all though this may be a matter of personal preference and familiarity.— subtank 01:50, 30 July 2014 (EDT)
