Pulse Beams are a form of Weaponry used by Enforcers. They fire rapidly and are red in colour. The Enforcers use them to combat infantry, especially the Flood. These weapons aren't used against vehicles, and are not usuable in gameplay. The Enforcers use the pulse beams to control outbreaks of flood, so the Forerunners probably used created them for this purpose.
