One of the Marines stationed at Diego Garcia, McKenzie was from the 405th Marine Infantry Division. He, along with Sergeant Banks, Corporal Perez, and the rest of A Company were sent to New Mombasa during The First Battle of Earth. While there, they met up with SPARTAN-117, and with his help, the Marines trapped and destroyed a Scarab walker.
McKenzie was then evacuated with the Chief and they traveled to Installation 05 aboard the UNSC In Amber Clad. He traveled with Perez, Sergeant Major Johnson, and Commander Miranda Keyes to the Library to retrieve the Index. When Sgt. Johnson and Keyes made it to the index, Johnson called to him and Perez, to which there was no response, so many believe he is dead, infected by the Flood, or was captured by the Brutes.
