While hijacking, the player will gain invulnerability until taking full control of the vehicle or turret. The [[sandbox]] features weapons, vehicles, and armor styles from throughout the series' past. Merg Vol's Covenant arsenal is instead an eclectic mix of weapons from previous games, notably featuring the [[M'tara-pattern focus rifle|focus rifle]] and [[Type-51 Directed Energy Rifle/Improved|plasma repeater]] from ''[[Halo: Reach]]''.
