Major Cammarano (first name unknown) was an officer in the UNSC Marine Corps stationed on the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552.[1]
Biography
By the time of the Fall of Reach in August 2552, Cammarano was assigned as part of the Autumn's crew complement, presumably for Operation: RED FLAG. At some point, they posted a notice on the cruiser's internal bulletin board system[1];
NOTICE To All Crew Members: >>All unit VTARS must be submitted for final approval by 0700 every Tuesday. Units in VTAR noncompliance will be subjected to additional review by <FRANCH INSPECTOR>. Maj. Cammarano << This notice will serve as your final reminder.[1]
Cammarano survived the Fall of Reach and Pillar of Autumn's subsequent escape to the Soell system. On September 19, they were listed as the officer in command (OIC) of the Marine Security Detail A on Pillar of Autumn's duty roster.[2] Their fate following this and into the broader Battle of Installation 04 is unknown.
Production notes
Cammarano is only mentioned in the Bulletin board easter egg found in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo: Campaign Evolved. His name is likely a reference to Ben Cammarano, the art director on the game.[3]
