The UNSC Constantinople was a Halcyon-class light cruiser in service with the UNSC Navy.[1] The Constantinople served in Battle Group X-Ray, led by Vice Admiral Preston Cole, during the Second Battle of Harvest on March 1, 2526. While the battle group engaged made a last, desperate attempt to destroy a single Covenant super-destroyer, the Constantinople was destroyed by the vessel's fourth salvo, along with the Troy and Lowrentz.[3] The Constantinople was declared "lost with all hands".[1]

After the Human-Covenant War, the crew of the vessel, along with members of the various branches of the United Nations Space Command armed forces, were commemorated for their service at the dedication of the living monument.[1]

Trivia[edit]

The ship was named for the capital of the Byzantine (and later Ottoman) Empire, it is now known as Istanbul.
