The UNSC Athens was a prowler used by ONI. In 2525, during the Spartans' infiltration mission to the Rebel base Eridanus Secundus in the Eridanus System, the Athens stayed on station a few AUs distant from the base. The Athens was supposed to alert the UNSC Pioneer, should the Spartan IIs mission go critical. However, this proved to be unnecessary.[1]
