The Brutes and Elites in this faction did not get involved in the Sangheili-Jiralhanae feud as they were not in the Covenant at the time of the Great Schism. They existed prior to it. That's why the Elites and Brutes are able to coexist in this faction post-war first place, it's an important fact to include as it clarifies why the Brute-Elite rivalry does not apply to this faction. Rename to "The Banished"

Should we rename this page to "The Banished", since the "The" is almost always capitalized? -- Topal the Pilot Blueteam.png (Talk|Contribs) 00:33, 14 June 2016 (EDT)

Great Schism

Editorguy, you can present your argument here instead of edit warring. Alertfiend - Warning, my comments may appear passive aggressive. (Converse) 04:13, 14 June 2016 (EDT)

-"Is a group that fought the Covenant even before Humanity beat them" -GrimBrotherOne acknowledges their pre-Great Schism stuff here as well: http://www.haloarchive.com/forum/topic/1107-halo-wars-2/?page=66

We can deduce two things. They fought against the Covenant prior to the Human-Covenant war and the Great Schism. And They are not Covenant. The Great Schism was an internal conflict. It was a civil war where Prophet of Truth kicked the Elites out, and fueled the Jiralhanae-Sangheili feud into a civil war. The Banished were not involved in that conflict, they don't take orders from Truth, They are not Covenant, and as such would not be involved.

The Banished are not Covenant, and were not involved in the conflict.

It is an important thing to note, it provides a lot of clarity as to why the Brutes and Elites are able to coexist in this faction. Editorguy (talk) 06:12, 14 June 2016 (EDT)
