Hey man, thanks for getting those Marine Corps and Air Force logos up, can't believe it's only now we're getting those haha. The encyclopedia turned out great!

Oh, thats super interesting! I'll make sure to amend the page to suit. As it happens, I'm from the town Halifax in the UK, so I always like to pretend that's where the in-universe Halifax Spacewerx are based, even if I know it's not true haha

Hey again, to my knowledge the Special Warfare Center was never in any doubt. "Armor Testing" calls it out at the end. And I believe a couple sources prior mention a Warfare Center here and there prior. The UNSCOTEC actually judging by Armor testing and the blister are not the same location but near one another. (Or OTEC is just a facility part of the SWC but no source makes that clear sadly)

It was more the stuff that HBO (Happy 20th to them) was spouting without sourcing that was in doubt till yesterday.

And ahh yes the Joyride Series 4 ODST Figure. It has "NSWG2-ODST team 5" on it which I assume is short for "Naval Special Warfare Group 2-Orbital Drop Shock Troopers team 5". Which is a curiosity tbh, unless I am mistaken that may actually be the 105th. But I am left with a lil uncertainty.

Psst you may like this discovery I made. Its quite big I wont lie and actually I presume is the source of stuff folks tried to add a few times over the years. JR_H2_Exclusive_ODST_%28Box_Back%29.jpg

TLDR: The 340th ODST Combat Training Unit is canon. And the UNSC Operational Test and Evaluation Center is canon.

Thanks. Also, as a follow-up question on the matter of the galaxy map in Warfleet, do you think the Halo locations shown on the map can be thought of as valid, at least in terms of which spiral arm each ring is located in?

Hey, Jugus here. I was wondering if you'd be able to shed any light into the issue I brought up a while back on the Preceptor talk page. Warfleet's info seems contradictory on whether they are supposed to be live Forerunners or Guardian-like robots.

Ahh thats cool. Love trivia like that.

The first EVG is also annoying at times for being specific to one model and then saying it appears in other media despite that specific model only being in 1 game. Something you may have noticed here and there in it. (Yes yes I know it was for convenience on the reader cause it was squishing a lot of games into 1 book)

I am kinda under the impression the EVG is primary talking about the Halo Reach one. Kinda what I plan to use to say the Morsam lacks the fuel rod weaponry.

Hey,

I'm really sorry to hear that. I had a look back at the logs of the issue, and you were totally in the right; Haloprov shouldn't have reverted your edits. I know it probably doesn't mean much now, but allow me to take this opportunity to apologise on behalf of the site for that. Reverting without adequately explaining why is definitely a problem that a couple of Halo Nation administrators have, and since my tenure as admin began, it's been something I have tried to discourage to the best of my ability. In your case, I'm guessing that your edits were reverted because they did not provide a source (although that's not really a good excuse to revert an edit unless the information is false, which yours wasn't).

Nevertheless, I understand and respect your decision. I'm sorry that the issue has caused you to feel this way about Halo Nation - you have my word we'll try to do better in future.

Sincerely,

Dab1001

Apologies! I kinda messed that first message up by forgetting to use proper wiki syntax. What I meant to say was:

Hey, would you mind if we use this image of yours on Halo Nation (halo.wikia.com)? We're currently lacking in good images of the Kai-pattern, so we'd really appreciate it if you'd allow us to use it.

Thanks,

Somebody was asking what the size of the buildings were in Halo Wars over at Halo Archive. You wouldn't happen to have an answer would you?

Something I noticed from the Visual Guide and was curious about: According page 111, the CSO supercarrier is capable of cloaking itself with active camo. Before the guide, I had assumed the tele-spires were what was cloaking the supercarrier (kinda how the stealth pylon was cloaking the area from radar.) The CSO article brings up the question of why such a large ship was able to cloak itself when smaller Covenant ships don't appear to be able to. Were you there when that aspect was being discussed and do you have any possibly insight on it?

A recent edit of the Unrelenting page reminded me of something I was going to ask you when I first reviewed your updated scale chart. I notice you've identified the example of the CRS-class as the Unrelenting, no doubt in reference to the ship's appearance in the Fall of Reach comic adaptation. Do you have insider info that the ship is canonically a CRS-class?

I'm asking this because of the discrepancy between the way the ship is shown in the comic and how it's described in the book (ovoid-shaped, single lateral line, etc. don't really match up with the cruiser shape). In other matters we've treated the comic adaptation as secondary to the novel wherever the two contradict, so I'm a little unsure whether we should call the Unrelenting a CRS-class on the basis of the comic alone, unless 343i has actually clarified that the ship is canonically a CRS.

Apart from the cockpit layout and the holotank, I've never seen much difference between Halo 3's D77H-TCI and the D77-TC introduced in Combat Evolved. On the other hand, the Reach Pelican is called the D77-TC in the manual, yet its airframe is noticeably sleeker and it uses the same tandem seating arrangement of the Halo 3 model, not to mention several smaller changes. Do you know if there is any official word on the distinction between these variants, perhaps with the Reach Pelican being the D77 and the classic version being retconned into the D77H? On a related note, did you come up with the D78 mentioned in the Halo 4 EVG or was that 343i?

Hey there! I'd like to invite you to check out a fan-made Halo forum which has a huge focus on the lore, know as Halo Archive. Archive is a great community with an extremely knowledgeable community as far as the lore is concerned (a small community, but we're growing). There's even a group of us (myself included) dedicated to collecting information and things like your scale charts and archiving them, known as the Miners (as the forum is Forerunner-themed and the ranks are adapted Forerunner rates). I really think you'd enjoy it there, so if you want to check us out you can find the forum here (note that we just moved from another site and are still ironing out a few bugs and issues with the new layout): http://haloarchive.freeforums.net/

Hey. Big fan of yours.

Question: in your dealings with 343I, do you happen to know if any of the new ships have been given registries? Also, do any of the ships from Battlegroup Dakota have class names, or are they all just unidentified?

I'm now officially on Xbox LIVE! Come and find me! :-) My gamertag is my username! By the way, how exactly do I take screenshots? I've been looking through my game guides to try and find out, but I could use a little help.

Oh, I think I found out how they were able to mod the game to get those screenshots. Uh, do you have anything against modding? If you don't, I'd appreciate it if you could get me a screenshot of the Forerunner Power Core, as well as some of the other crossed-out items on my Wanted Images List, when you have the time to spare. If you don't like modding, then forget it.

Came across these three users on the Halo Waypoint File Browser: [1] [2] [3] . No idea how they managed to get these campaign screenshots, but would like to figure out how. I don't know how to contact them either to ask them about it. Think you could try looking into it?

Oh yeah. I would really like to see destroyers featured more prominently in newer media. Sure, there are plenty of "arrowheads" in the Fall of Reach comic series, but Iroquois is the only one that gets any real "screen time"; not to mention, it's an adaptation of a work we already know well. Midnight in The Heart of Midlothian has been the only original story to make much use of the destroyer since The Fall of Reach. *Sigh* We can only hope, I guess.
