Rock Anthem for Saving the World is a piece included in the Halo: Original Soundtrack.
Appearances
It is heard in its full form on Silent Cartographer just after the Master Chief has activated the map. The initial part of the piece is later heard at the base of the Control Room on the level Assault on the Control Room. It also begins playing when the bottom of the control room is reached on the level Two Betrayals. It is also considered the main theme for the games, although it only appears in this arrangement on the Halo: CE soundtrack. It does reappear in the Halo 2 soundtrack, on the songs Reclaimer and Unyielding, and again on the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack in the track To Kill a Demon. It begins to play as you go to get the Rocket Launchers and Mongooses for the Vidmaster Challenge: Deja Vu for Halo 3: ODST.
It runs for 1:20, but is also listed as being 1:17 seconds long, a reference to the Master Chief.
