Recreation R-01 is a generic United Nations Space Command term for the recreational area on the port side of the bridge on an Orbital Defense Platform. It consists of video phones for contact with Earth or other vessels, as well as screens dictating information about the station.[1]

Cairo Station Recreation R-01

During the Battle of Earth, Cairo Station's Recreation R-01 was one of the first areas invaded by Covenant. John-117 aided Sergeant Johnson and the Marines stationed there in repulsing the boarders before moving on to Security R-01.[1]
