For starters, [[Lone Wolves]] is the most trouble-free way to get up to skill level 10, required for becoming a [[Lieutenant]] because since as long as you end up in 3rd place or up and if you win a couple games in a row there, Make sure if you don't have 80 EXP (Which is a prerequisite for becoming a Lieutenant) you don't do Lone Wolves for a while once you have skill level 10.If you have a losing streak, your skill will go down. Another thing to do, is  when you are a lieutenant, try getting to a skill of 20 that way you can advance to captain.

*For starters, the [[Lone Wolves]] playlist is the most trouble-free way to get up to skill level 10, required for becoming a [[Lieutenant]] because since as long as your scoring position is in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd(Depending how many players are in the game)place you will gain EXP and if you win a couple games in a row there, you will earn Skill points.

Also, Lone Wolves is the best and easy way to get up to the high skill levels. If you have troubles go to Team Doubles and have a good buddy help you.
*[[Team Doubles]] playlist is also another good choice for ranking up. Just make sure you have a buddy to join you in your team to have faith in him/her otherwise if you team up with other player(s) sometimes there may be a few players who, in team games betray their teammates for no good reason.

*Try being alert for [[Double EXP Weekend]] playlists. You will usually earn 2 EXPs instead of just one. [[Grifball]] and [[Living Dead]] are recommended for starters, as whichever player ranks you encounter, fun is always guranteed in the game.

*For those new to Halo, avoid [[Big Team Slayer]] and playlists which usually includes long range weaponry like [[Battle Rifle]]s as starting weapons if you're not skilled at it.

Tips for ranking up

  • For starters, the Lone Wolves playlist is the most trouble-free way to get up to skill level 10, required for becoming a Lieutenant because since as long as your scoring position is in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd(Depending how many players are in the game)place you will gain EXP and if you win a couple games in a row there, you will earn Skill points.
  • Team Doubles playlist is also another good choice for ranking up. Just make sure you have a buddy to join you in your team to have faith in him/her otherwise if you team up with other player(s) sometimes there may be a few players who, in team games betray their teammates for no good reason.
  • Try being alert for Double EXP Weekend playlists. You will usually earn 2 EXPs instead of just one. Grifball and Living Dead are recommended for starters, as whichever player ranks you encounter, fun is always guranteed in the game.
  • For those new to Halo, avoid Big Team Slayer and playlists which usually includes long range weaponry like Battle Rifles as starting weapons if you're not skilled at it.
