Planting A Flag is an achievement in Halo: The Master Chief Collection. It is unlocked by earning a total of 250 Capture the Flag mode-specific medals in multiplayer matchmaking. The achievement is worth 10 Gamerscore.

Certain games in the collection are better for earning this achievement than others, as not all games award the same number of Capture the Flag medals. Halo 2: Anniversary has the most with eleven unique medals, followed closely by Halo 4 with ten. Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 only award seven medals, while Halo 3 and Halo: Reach only award three medals.
